We’re proud to be celebrating World Earth Day two years in a row, after sharing the history behind Earth Day with our blog readers last year. This year, we’re as passionate as ever about sustainability and making sure gift-giving stays plastic-free and kind to the planet. The brands we work with ensure they each are doing their bit to protect the Earth, whether that’s by using recycled materials in their packaging, implementing renewable energy practices in their production processes, or supporting environmental conservation initiatives.

By working with these eco-conscious brands, we’re able to offer our customers a guilt-free gifting experience that aligns with their values. As we continue to grow and evolve, our commitment to sustainability remains unwavering, and we’re excited to see the positive impact we can make together for many Earth Days to come.

The initiative empowers not only the children themselves, but also the communities they are a part of. Vurchoo Jewellery states that: “Every design supports education for those in need around the world. You have helped plant the seed of knowledge, a gift that will last a lifetime.”Not only do Vurchoo aim to fight against the unethical production of jewellery, they also prioritise sustainability with the Studs of Hope collection packaging now being 100% recyclable.

Locksley Distilling Co.

Based in Sheffield, Locksley Distilling Co. are a distinguished brand in the world of gin, renowned for their exceptional craft gin creations that redefine the drinking experience. They work closely with two charities, Whirlow Hall Farm Trust, and Sheffield Children’s Hospital. They only use 100% British wheat-based spirit, made locally, and of exceptional quality, while also sourcing organic, natural botanicals locally where possible or by fair trade principles. All of their products are created, produced, distilled, bottled, and packed at their distillery. Their recyclable glass bottles are made 59 miles from the distillery, minimising the shipping impact on the environment. Locksley Gin only uses electricity at the distillery (no gas) which has been renewably sourced since 2020. The distillery minimises waste in many ways: all of their spent botanicals are composted; their condenser water is recycled and their paper, cardboard, glass, and plastic waste is also recycled.
